Hi Everyone,

We have switched our forum system to a blog format effective October 27th, 2006.

This was done for a couple of reasons.  Please read the update below:

1.)  The completely open forum allowed posts to go up in immediately with no moderation possible.  This has posed a bit of a problem in regards to abuse of the free forum.  While I do pretty much live on my computer I cannot watch this post 24/7 and therefore have decided that a moderated format is necessary to protect all associated with the site from material that might result in hassles for us (copyright infringement or personal slander claims etc.)   It's fine to openly discuss policies and call local business and community leaders to task, and it's fine to espouse opinion.  But we must be very careful to not abuse this forum to go beyond that into the realm of personal attacks.   The new moderated format will provide this security.

2.)  Though not endorsed, we do still permit anonymous posting.  All are encouraged to use their names in any posts or comments.

3.)  If you wish to post a new topic of discussion, see our POLICIES page and send and SEND US AN EMAIL as you wish it to be posted and titled and we will consider it for publishing.    The new format also allows for HTML links and images to be inserted which is a nice feature.

4.)  Note the new format has options to select your own layout.  It's a little confusing at first, but give it a try and you'll  notice that it will quickly make sense. 

5.)  ALL POSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS FORUM HAVE BEEN COPIED AND PASTED ON THE NEW SYSTEM!  Please note that you can still view the ORIGINAL OLD FORUM HERE but you will not be able to post directly to it.  I've consolidated the old blog entries along with these old forum entries as well.
